“Oh, please (b/f) you’re overreacting!” You said to your overly cautious friend. “I am not overreacting! I am merely just looking out for our safety! You know your mom would freak if she found out we were here!” She said, flailing her arms around. You sighed, knowing she would not want any part in your plant to go to West Peek Mountain. “Can you PLEASE just come with me?” You pleaded. “I heard that at the top there is an awesome view of Sheep Meadow and the town!!” “well….” “pleeeeasseee??” “Alright fine!” She said in defeat. “ALRIGHT!” You said in triumph. “But don’t blame me if you get eaten by

Wonder if i....gave an Oreo to the Big Bad Wolf,
how would the story go?
Would he still go huff and puff
or would he bring those pigs cool stuff
to decorate the deck he helped them build?
Would they not get killed?
Wonder if I gave an Oreo to a vampire in a creepy show,
would he not act so undead?
Would he thirst for milk instead?
I've just got this feeling that it might work out all right.
‘Cause cream does wondrous things
inside a chocolate sandwich dream.
If I gave 'em to great white sharks,
would they share 'em with baby seals?
Would they call up a giant squid for a friendly meal?
Wonder if I gave an Oreo…
Wonder if I gave an Oreo…
What if I gave an Oreo to you?
(i do not own this epic song!!! oreo does!!)
Women in Games #6Alice - American Mcgee's Alice
As a horror fanatic myself, I think this one really hits the nail on the head. Although the characters were based off of Lewis Carroll's novels, this game lingered more on the chaotic and twisted side.
The premise of the entire game is Alice battling with her insanity and doing her best to save Wonderland which in turn, is to save herself. Rather than being a helpless female lost in a dark and scary place, she takes on the role of brutally slashing and carving her way to the end. She takes no prisoners from start to finish. Being a young kid and playing this game, it really creeped me out, but seeing that Alice was full of tools to destroy her enemies just made me keep pushing through to the very end. From mallots to playing cards, every weapon had it's own way of creating bloodshed, and I loved every second of seeing her rip creatures to pieces!
The game also provides items that gives Alice the ability to change her form and give her strength and p

Tablet Failure, College DreamOkay, so basically, I managed to get my hands on a Monoprice 19" tablet monitor for a screaming good deal. It's basically a Cintiq...but a cheaper brand. I figured it'd be okay and give me a chance to improve upon things while I save up the $2300 needed for a real Cintiq.
The sensitivity levels were okay, but it often needed me to push harder with the pen to get half or three-quarter pressure level, and it sometimes didn't want to finish the lines at the very spot I had pressed and lifted. Also, the colours were just awful. They seemed washed out, and there was a horrible viewing angle that I never want to repeat. UGH. The top was practically negative colours (like when you see an older monitor from an odd angle), and the bottom was washed out. The pen squeaked against the monitor's screen occasionally (which irked me to no end), and I found it harder to use than a regular ol' Wacom tablet. PLUS, I'm sensitive to lights (flickers are a BIG no-no for me, since I can end up ha
Destiny reviewTime for another game review, it's time for Destiny.
For those who don't know Destiny is the latest game made by Bungie, the creators of Halo. There was a lot of hype over the game and being a fan of Bungie's work myself I needed to play Destiny.
But the game is as good as they tried to convince us. Well given that the game is a mix up between a MMO and a first person shooter, it took me some time to play enough to see what is good and what is bad of the game.
Let's begin with what's good about the game.
As you start the game you can chose between three races and three classes. The races are merely cosmetic but the classes determine what abilities you will have. For now each class has two "subclasses" each with is own set of abilities that mainly consist of three types of grenades, one short range melee power and a special super ability being this the strongest and the one that take more time to charge.
The first thing where the game excels is the gameplay the game is played like any g
Women in Games #8Alis Landale- Phantasy Star
This 1988 title features Alis Landale, one of first female protagonists of RPGs. Ironically, this game uses a "trope" that a lot of people complain about. "I'm a male and my girlfriend/sister/mother died, so I need to venture off into this quest." Many people call this sexist and cliche, but check this- Alis's brother died at the hands of King Lassic's robot cops, which in turn, makes Alis' main goal to seek revenge for the death of her brother.
Boom, shoe on the other foot. It's a nice example that these "tropes" happen to both females, and males. Ironic.
Alis wields swords, shields, and has the ability to cast magic. On top of that, she is fully clothed and not exposed in the slightest. Looking for a strong female protagonist? Want her to have armor that makes sense? It exists! This game is for you.
Honestly though, this game set the stage for a lot of games in it's future, and is worth the time to give it a go. The story is easy to follow and simple

Blood BrothersBrookie always holds my hand when we cross the street. She's never given a reason for it, she just does it. It's become this unspoken rule with us that whenever we cross the street together, she slips her hand in mine and I lace my fingers through hers and we walk hand-in-hand until we reach the other side and she drops her hand and we both wipe our palms on our jeans. Brookie's a little scared of crossing the street. Her poppa died in a car crash when we were six. He was a pedestrian. She's never gotten over it.
Brookie is my best friend going on sixteen years now, which is pretty impressive considering we're both sixteen. We don't have some cute little story about how we were born in the same hospital on the same day or about how our mothers were best friends long before they were pregnant with us and somehow passed on that bond while we were still in utero. No, Brookie and I met the same way ever
